The Prince's Trust and NatWest

2016 was the most impactful year of the NatWest and The Trust’s 17-year partnership. Last year the partnership value totalled just under £1.8 million with a portion of this enabling over 700 young entrepreneurs to access the Enterprise programme and receive a package of training and mentoring. Employee engagement was at its highest with over 400 NatWest colleagues volunteering to deliver workshops. We increased awareness of the partnership through the launch of the Tomorrow’s Business Awards, and highlighted the bank’s cashback redemption scheme to engage customers with the charity.

A new initiative offered promising young people on the Enterprise programme the opportunity to apply for NatWest’s Entrepreneurial Spark programme to help them grow and accelerate their business. Strategic alignment is key to the success of this partnership, enhancing NatWest’s position as a bank for business while also giving disadvantaged young people the confidence and resources to set up in self-employment.
