Devia has worked in marketing and communications roles for over 15 years. She started her career managing internal communications and engagement in a FTSE 100 retailer, but over the last eight years has built her passion for strong, audience-led marketing and communications in the charity sector. Before joining Barnardo’s as Director of Brand and Marketing, Devia led comms, marketing and brand teams at Girlguiding, Scope and RNIB. She is particularly proud of her work on awareness raising and perception-shifting campaigns such as Girlguiding’s ‘#KnowYouPlace’ and ‘#ForTheGirl’, RNIB’s ‘#SeeSense’ and Scope’s ‘#EndTheAwkward’. She continues to learn on-the-job as mum to two young children and is passionate about causes which build a better future for them and other young people.
