Travels to my Elephant

Elephant Family & Quintessentially Foundation

Travels to my Elephant was a campaign inspired by the bestselling book of Elephant Family’s late founder, Mark Shand. The concept came to life through a series of events that took place throughout 2015.

The campaign was launched by Goldie Hawn on 1st June 2015, which saw a fleet of elephant infused rickshaws take over the streets of London before being auctioned off at an event hosted by TRHs The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall and raising over £700,000.

In November, 49 rickshaws then set off on an epic journey across 500 kilometres of India to meet Mark’s rescued elephant, Tara.

The event aimed to raise awareness of the Asian elephant’s plight targeting both the man on the street and the charity’s donors. The campaign reached over 915 million people and raised over £2 million for 1,700 endangered elephants and 220 villagers.
