Save the Children & GSK

Save the Children and GSK joined forces in 2013 to help save one million children's lives. We recognised that by working together and combining our global expertise, skills and energy we could do more to improve children’s health, and have a stronger voice supporting children’s rights, than if we worked alone. Our partnership is a ground-breaking collaboration that goes well beyond the normal charity-corporate model, combining Save the Children’s global reach and on-the-ground experience with GSK’s innovation, resources and expertise in health to help end the preventable deaths of children under 5.

As of May 2018 our partnership has reached 2,863,831 children under the age of five across 45 countries with healthcare interventions. Over 97,000 children have been fully vaccinated and 187,873 treated for malaria, pneumonia or diarrhoea. GSK's 100,000 employees globally also contribute their time and enthusiasm to support the partnership through a voluntary fundraising programme, Orange United. Over 500 Orange United Ambassadors from 51 countries organise fundraising activities to support the partnership and since 2013 employees have raised over £3.2 million for Save the Children.
