Pregnant Then Screwed has just two employees - the founder and an operations manager. We are entirely led by volunteers with lived experience of maternity discrimination. The engine room of that movement is our comms team.
We generate top tier national coverage weekly. We have been able to secure over 230,000 signatures for our petitions, and drive conversations in parliament and change at legislative level. We do this through our research of women's experiences of working and being a parent and a wealth of case studies that have been nurtured by a team that have been there and understand. The women volunteers on this team live and breathe the PTS mission like it is their full-time paid job, and show a dedication and passion that many employers would be lucky to have.
Sitting alongside all of this are our very active social media channels, of which Joeli Brearley, the founder of PTS, is the face. Her authentic, plain-speaking, humorous take engages thousands of followers every day, making employment law and rights accessible to women. With over 40k followers these channels have high engagement levels and a sense of community like no other.
