In 2011 legislative changes to careers information advice and guidance (CIAG) were announced, resulting in the disbanding of Connexions services. This meant schools/colleges would be responsible for providing CIAG to young people aged 12-18 without any additional budget.
As the provider of this service across Merseyside since 2001, Career Connect identified an opportunity and successfully developed a flexible commercial CIAG offer in consultation with schools/colleges and young people across the North West. We have developed additional delivery channels to meet cost pressures faced by schools/colleges, operate within 85% of Liverpool City Region schools and have established a national offer.
