Neil Peters

Project Manager, Samaritans

 

Neil joined Samaritans in 2011 and is currently Project Manager for Samaritans' partnership with the rail industry - delivering the 'Tackling suicides on the railways' programme.

Previously he worked in the Operations team as Branch Support Manager, supporting Samaritans branches on major projects.

Before joining Samaritans, Neil worked as Progressions Co-ordinator for Streetleague, a football charity supporting unemployed 16 to 25 year olds to get back into work, education or training. In addition to his third sector experience, Neil had 7-year career in the private sector working for Mott MacDonald in their transport division, a career which included extensive secondments to Transport for London.

Neil has volunteered for TackleAfrica since 2005, supporting this small UK-based charity with fundraising and project delivery, including delivering three HIV education through football projects in Uganda, Kenya and Zambia.

He is active in his local church and has two young daughters.
