Emma Woods Bolger

Assistant Director, Community Foundation for Calderdale


Emma was the winner of last year’s Third Sector Fundraising Team of the year award in recognition of the Community Foundations Flood Fund Appeal which £3.4 million to support flood victims in the Calderdale (Yorkshire) area.

Formerly an entrepreneur specialising in identifying and developing new business and achieving organisational growth within the hospitality industry. Emma joined the Community Foundation in the role of Marketing Manager in 2011 and this year was promoted to Assistant Director.

Emma has previously been a Director of other charitable organisations, and special advisor to children’s charity Homestart Calderdale, she brings a wealth of experience from both the commercial and not-for- profit sectors having spent ten years in senior management positions.

Emma leads on the annual socio-economic research undertaken by the Community Foundation, helping to identify and prioritise funding allocations for emerging needs.
