Who should enter?
All UK-based voluntary organisations – registered charities, not-for-profit organisations, social enterprises and campaigning groups - are eligible to enter. Agencies and consultancies may enter on behalf of the voluntary organisations they work for, provided they have their client’s approval. Please ask clients to email their approval to adele [dot] durham
haymarket [dot] com.
Eligibility
Entries must cover work carried out during the period 1 June 2009 to 31 May 2010. Work that began in earlier years is eligible if it came to fruition during this period. Organisations that sponsor the awards cannot enter categories or awards they sponsor. Individual awards may have additional eligibility requirements.
How to enter
You may enter as many categories as you like and you can enter a project in more than one category. If you are intending to do this you will need to enter each category one at a time, you can not click on multiple categories for the same project as each of the questions asked will be specific to that category. Please pay special attention to the following instructions. Failure to follow them will put your entry at a disadvantage. Entries must be made through the Enter page of this website.
Before beginning the online entry process if you are an agency or consultancy entering on behalf of a voluntary organisation you should have payment ready by invoice (requiring a Purchase Order) or credit card. Cost of entry is £50 + VAT (£58.75).
You should be prepared to complete the online process within one hour so that you are not timed out, it might be easier to copy and paste your answers from a Word document rather than answering the questions directly through the website.
Each entry must include:
• A statement answering the questions specific to the category you are entering
The statement must open with a one-paragraph summary, in no more than 250 words, of the main reasons why the entry should win an award. The statement must then answer each of the questions specific to the award you are entering in no more than 250 words for each question.
• Any relevant supporting material, such as copies of your annual report, campaign
materials, press cuttings etc. should be uploaded in electronic form online, and/or send it in hard copy form to:
Adele Durham
Third Sector Excellence Awards
174 Hammersmith Road, London W6 7JP
When sending the supporting material in hard copy form, please clearly indicate project title and category, for ease of reference. Documents will not be returned.
Deadline for entries
Entries must be made by Wednesday 16 June 2010. There is a charge for late entries. If any entry is received after the deadline, without prior agreement with the event manager, the organisers reserve the right to charge £50 plus VAT per entry, irrespective of whether the entry is from a voluntary or commercial organisation.
Sensitive information
It is understood that in some cases entries may include commercially sensitive information. Third Sector reserves the right to publish descriptions and case studies of winning entries, but if an entrant asks for any part of their submission to remain confidential, it will be treated as such.
