The Brain Injury Community Service Relaunch

The Children's Trust

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury and neurodisability. We provide rehabilitation, education and community services through skilled teams who work with children and young people, and their families.

In March 2018 we launched a campaign to promote our new-look Brain Injury Community Service. This campaign was driven, in the main, by a change in the service delivery model which required communication and promotion to key stakeholders, including professionals referring children into our service, and parents and families.

Delivered in just under 10 weeks, the campaign aimed to increase awareness and referrals, as well as position the service as a UK-wide provision and use the new communications materials to in turn increase voluntary income.

Since launch we have seen an uplift in overall referrals of 10%, with a 300% increase in those coming into our national specialist centre which supports those children who do not live within the catchment of a major trauma centre. This suggests an improved awareness and positioning of the service as UK-wide.

In addition, the campaign in part, has led to successful Grant applications and statutory income.
