One Courageous Community - RNLI Annual Report and Accounts 2015

Royal National Lifeboat Institution

How do people come together to save lives? For almost two centuries RNLI communities have been uniting against drowning. We have created an annual report that shows those communities at work – and how well they’re working.

In a testing year for the charity sector as a whole, we wanted to show that the RNLI is in the best possible position to save more lives. Strengthened by volunteers, invigorated by a new direction, and sustained for the future by an innovative approach to operations and fundraising.

Titled One Courageous Community , the report uses a visual contents page that maps all of the RNLI’s activity, demonstrating how different groups work together to save lives at sea.

Individual case studies and infographics provide a visually compelling, at-a-glance record of our impact, while the detailed editorial explains the bold decisions we have taken to meet our targets for 2024.

This is the first time we have used a contents page as a guiding thematic element. And with the help of supporting conceptual illustrations, we’re proud to have produced a report that tells a cohesive and engaging story of the RNLI’s mission, as well as meeting statutory and legal requirements new for this year.
